This 1890s Queenslander in Shorncliffe was renovated and a rear extension added to suit a contemporary bayside lifestyle.
The existing three bedroom, one bathroom, floor plan was reconfigured and the seamless rear extension has turned this beautiful character house into a spacious four bedroom, two bathroom home with a generous open plan living area and deck serviced by a contemporary kitchen with butler’s pantry.
Like most renovations the challenge was more than design, with careful craftsmanship needed to replace old rotten timber and address existing floors and walls that were out-of-square while maintaining the heritage materials and charm.
